Sack Dimblebore...

Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy said on BBC Question Time last night that all four Strictly Come Dancing judges should be sacked.

His comments came as John Sergeant shockingly announced he was leaving the Saturday night show earlier this week, because he said if he had won, the joke would have gone too far.

Sergeant, a former BEEB political editor had been constantly bashed by the judges for his poor dancing - but cabinet minister Murphy last night said it was only family entertainment.

UPDATE: Meanwhile, while politicians are still pondering why John Sergeant left the show, one political blogger said maybe the BEEB should give Sergeant a proper job.

Paul Linford said in his blog: "He (Sergeant) could take over Question Time, which is badly in need of someone of his political nous after more than a decade of Dimblebore (that's David Dimbleby)."
